Set in an ancient building close to Plymouth’s city center on the south coast of Devon, England, high-end sushi bar KUKU offers the perfect sanctuary for Japanese food enthusiasts. KUKU draws its personality from a scattered set of influences to create a simple yet alluring dining experience. Visitors can take a seat at the hand-crafted maple sushi bar as the chefs work in front of them, creating and serving exceptional dishes served in their purest form.
To accompany the culinary experience, KUKU recently installed a simple, sleek audio system in keeping with the ethos of the venue. Installed by Clockwork Audio Systems, the project featured a two-zone system in bar and restaurant areas, allowing the bar section to be operated when the restaurant is closed to patrons. Powered by a REVAMP1680 16-channel bridgeable digital power amplifier fed by a PM1122 preamp, the installation also features four MASK6-W two-way speakers paired with a SUB2400 10” subwoofer in the bar and a total of 12 MASK2-W compact speakers and six SUBLIME ultra-compact subs.
